This is the only problem so far using Tahoe. Finder gives the correct time the app was last opened but no trace of it appears when I display the apps that are open nor does it appear in Force Quit.
I assume the window is open but just not on my Desktop.
I have tried various fixes from the Internet but none work.
Can anyone help with this? Many thanks.

Have you considered using the open source, free LibreOffice. It can open MS Office docs, edit them and save as MS Office docs or its own format. And its free.
