How to restore contact names in iOS 26 speed dial?

I had this same issue! Here’s how I fixed it:

1. Open Shortcuts
2. Add new
3. Search for “Phone number”
4. Add all your “Favorites”
5. Search “Choose from”
6. Pick phone number
7. Click the blue text “Phone number”
8. Choose “Contact” from the list
9. Search “Call”
10. Choose “Phone numbers”

That should be it. I hope it works for you!

Had this issue as well. Instead of creating a new one, i got inspired by Zaide_8 approach.

1. In the existing speed dial shortcut, in the second action group, Click the blue text “Phone number”.
2. choose name or contact whichever you like. if you chose contact, it will show the contact avatar as well. if you choose name, only name will be shown.
3. the end. sorry for bad english. im not english speaker.

Do you mean Favorites? Or do you new an actual Shortcut you created?

If you mean Favorites, I'd delete them and set them up again.
