Backspace and keyboard issues in some apps like TikTok and eBay on iPhone 12

I have finally discovered my issue. It was because I am using the Gboard keyboard app. This app hasn’t been updated in three years and problem occurred after ios 16 update. Switch to alternative keyboard and problem disappears

Provide Apple With This Feedback:

Apple rarely reads these forums on their own time. So, to get the word out to Apple on this, provide them with feedback. They won't get back to you directly on this, but the more they hear of it, the more they will know what problems exist and how to go about fixing them. So, do you part and provide feedback on it. Be certain that you are positive with the feedback (elsewise, it'll likely be filtered out).

1. Go Here: Feedback - AirPods - Apple
2. Select: "Performance" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of of this thread.
4. Proceed from there as necessary

If that is the only place you see this, they are the only ones who can fix it. It is not uncommon for app makers to need to update their stuff to fix bugs when a new version of iOS comes out each year.

Use the new check mark to remove keyboard

Please specify the Apple apps where your backspace does not work right

eBay is the affected app.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no effect. I can't contact eBay as their "Shake to Notify" feature does not work on my iPhone 16
