Vodafone eSIM stopped working after migrating to new iPhone Air

One of my eSIMs (Vodafone) stopped working after migrating to iPhone 17 Air last week, risking being blocked out of plenty of two-factor auth services so returning the phone and going back to iPhone 15 today if not finding a solution. I have already been issued a new QR to no avail

Rereading your original post: if you were issued a new QR code, you might need to delete the old (non-working) eSIM manually from the previous phone before you scan the QR on the new phone.

When transferring eSIM using a QR code a few months ago, I had to do that because the system thought I was trying to install the same phone number on two devices. Once I deleted the eSIM BEFORE scanning the QR the new phone read the QR and the eSIM installed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks! I have tried but I live in the US and they only provide a local number which becomes a nightmare. No physical offices in the US either of course. I have other eSIMs that migrated perfectly well (EE, from the UK, for example). I will have to go back to an older iPhone as 15 Pro had no issues with Vodafone and the others. Also, I hear that iPhone 17 jumps straight to 5G as there is no 4G in the US, and that will be a huge liability when spending time in Europe.

I'm not sure where you heard that but it's incorrect. There is still 4G in the U.S. and the iPhone 17 series supports it. What has been decommissioned in the U.S. is the 3G network.
