Contact info truncated in view from Messages app?

Since iOS 26 update, when I click on a text message, and then click on the sender information, I get an abbreviated view of the contact info that includes what might be a first name only.  Because I use my phone for personal and business use, I have way too many contacts to keep track that way. I don't want just initials in that view, I need to see their full name before I decide how to reply to the message... or whether or how to edit the contact info.

Might there be any way to control this in settings?

Sorry, no photo or screen shot of what I'm describing because I don't have an easy way to use a dummy identity to send myself a message without personal identifying information.

Figured it out: in CONTACTS app, not messages or phone, I needed to toggle 'shortname' option to OFF. See Settings > apps > Contacts > Shortname to OFF.
