Storage you actually get with 512gb iPhone 17 Pro Max?

I am so sorry, but no one has answered me. I am looking to find out how much storage you actually get out of the box when buying an iPhone 17 Pro Max 512gb. I am also looking for 1TB if anyone knows the definite answers. I have over 200GB of music I’ll be loading onto this phone (obv not all at once so I don’t kill it) and then the rest will be used for photos and apps and web browsing of course. I love the Pro Cameras and my heart is set on them but I want to replicate my iTunes experience as much as I can from my computer to my iPhone (I prefer local files and everytime I sync to the library via cloud, it messes up my stuff). Thanks if anyone knows or knows where I can find this info!

Whatever amount you get after overhead – formatting, iOS – you should count on leaving some of it unused. Bad things can happen if you fill a computer's storage completely to the brim, and while iOS differs from desktop OSes in some respects, I would expect filling storage completely to be a recipe for trouble on an Phone, also.

With that amount of data plus onboard photos the 1 TB sounds better. Bearing mind you need to back it up or keep the media on a companion Mac and sync.

Myself I went to Apple Music and iCloud Photos and run a 64GB phone!

The only data I have is for an iPhone 12 mini, which has 256 GB of storage, and is running iOS 18.7. On it, the iPhone Storage screen shows

iOS – 11.28 GB
System Data – 9.29 GB

That's without Apple Intelligence, which I believe might add another 7 GB on devices that support it.

Hopefully someone with an iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max will come along and add storage figures from their phone.

I think you’re right, sadly. I plan to buy a USB-C connector for my Audiophile headphones so I can finally enjoy real lossless. I majorly upgraded about 50% of my library that I want to upgrade to lossless, which is why I have to buy more space. I don’t use iCloud Sync with my Apple Music library because it changes stuff in there that is unnecessary.

Well, I don’t wanna fill it per se, that’s why I’m trying to find out how much storage you get out of the box. I do have iCloud for photos and such but I mean, hey if I can save $200, I’d love that.
