Bright, white light and unresponsive Launch Bar on M1 MacBook Pro

I am using a 2020 M1 MBP running MacOS26. A few days ago I was taking it with me so I closed the lid and when I arrived at my destination and opened the lid the LaunchBar started flashing a bright, white light. It eventually stopped. Going back home I did the same thing, closed the lid and when I got home and opened the lid the LaunchBar flashed a bright, white light. It eventually stopped but then my LaunchBar was black. No response.

Today I ran Safe Boot and that seemed to fix it but I did see that bright, white light just in the right corner of the LaunchBar upon booting up. It went off quickly.

I do use the LaunchBar occasionally like to adjust the brightness on the screen or keyboard, volume or add an emoji. I use it for Apple ID. Spell check.

So is my LaunchBar failing? Thank you!

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test.

if your issue continues —

you run the user Diagnostic...not as definitive as Apple's own AST2 (Apple Service Toolkit) back bench diagnostic, but may kick out an error code.
