Camera Control missing or blanked on used iPhone 13 mini

I’ve just bought a secondhand iPhone 13 mini and noticed that there is a blanked out section in the frame where there would be a camera control button on something like an iPhone 16. Has anyone seen anything like this before, I can’t find any description or image of a similar phone with this feature? Wonder if I’ve got a fake?
