iPhone 16 Pro Max – Phone & Messages apps not working after iOS 26 update

iOS 26.0.1 was released today. This is one of the issues it is reported to fix.

This has essentially left my iPhone unable to perform basic calling and texting functions. Has anyone else faced this issue after the update, and is there a known fix or workaround?

Your phone shows no cellular data connection which is the root cause of your issue. Contact your cellular data provider and troubleshoot with them.
