Tahoe 26 Update Completely Broke Touch ID on Mac Mini 2024 – No Setup Option!

Since upgrading to macOS Tahoe 26 on my Mac Mini 2024, the Touch ID setup option has disappeared completely. I have an Apple Magic Keyboard that used to work using Touch ID.

I’ve tried rebooting, connecting the keyboard by wire, creating a new user profile, and other troubleshooting steps. The Touch ID section is gone from settings, and I cannot enroll fingerprints at all.

I am sorry, join the people with the large screen 2019 MacBook Pro with their Macs flashing to the password screen after they put thiee finger print ID in. I tried everything suggested online. Mac elevated my call to the second level, and they had me take it out of sleep mode and change settings. It doesn't sleep anymore, but at least I don't have to manually put my password in when I take a break. I hope they make a patch.
