Wallpaper disappears when switching desktops

When I go to mission control and switch desktops using a swipe motion my wallpaper quickly disappears into a black background and as soon as the desktop is switched it appears again. Super annoying as it strains your eyes going from bright wallpaper to dark background. I have tried switching wallpapers which doesn't resolve the issue. For now I guess I go with a black background as I use this function quite a lot for working.

no the vertical black bar is perfectly fine. I was used to that. I mean when i first swipe up using 4 fingers into mission control where I can see all the open windows and different desktops. And if then I swipe left and right to switch desktops it turns completely black. I'll try to see if I can attach a screen recording.

To move between Spaces (virtual desktops) on a Mac, you can use a three or four-finger swipe left or right on the trackpad, a two-finger swipe on a Magic Mouse

Using second method with a Magic Mouse

Are you referring to the momentary Black Vertical Bar that appears when switching from Desktop 1 to Desktop 2 ?

Tested using a M4 Desktop and Magic Mouse with macOS 26.0 Tahoe

Seems normal a behaviour

Perhaps things may or may not change once the point update of Tahoe is released
