I have not found the new Spotlight use useful compared to the old spotlight under macOS Sequoia.
Sometimes I'm searching for a file or folder and I'm not sure of the exact name and I would say 80% of the time the new macOS Tahoe search function works and I find it. But sometimes I scroll all the way to the end of the results and cannot find it.
I had been opening up a Finder window and then the same exact search term yields many more results, and I have always found what I was looking for.
The suggestion in my post here is a quicker way to get to that Finder search which seems to have many more results.
Note: this has happened when I'm searching for a document even if I first click "pages" or searching for a folder and first click "folder."
At the bottom, it says search the web the same area used to used to say show in Finder. It doesn't show that anymore.
Used to be able to show in finder and it shows all the files in the finder.
Like I'm looking for a specific image to look for duplicates. I used to be able to show all in Finder, then it would show a list of that file that's in Finder in every location. How do I do that? This new Spotlight is not as good as the old one.
FWIW, that reveals the result of a Spotlight search.
