Mouse Freezing & Lag When Screen Sharing in Microsoft Teams on macOS 26.0.1
After updating my Mac to macOS 26.0.1, I’ve been experiencing serious issues when using the Microsoft Teams desktop app. Whenever I start screen sharing, my mouse begins to freeze and hang, making it almost impossible to work.
- Teams app is fully updated
- macOS is updated to 26.0.1
- Issue only happens in the desktop app during screen sharing
- When I use Teams in the web browser, screen sharing works, but performance is noticeably slow
This issue started immediately after updating macOS, so it seems to be a compatibility problem between the latest macOS version and the Teams desktop client.
Is anyone else facing the same issue? Any known fixes or workarounds?
