My email address is not available to create new apple ID after I already removed it from my previous account.

I need help creating a new apple ID. My fiancé wants us to start fresh new apple accounts when we get our new iPhones, my only problem is that I also don't want to create a new email to create said new apple ID. I want to use my current email but create a new account.

I have already attempted to remove any ties of my email with my apple ID in the settings by replacing it with my old email I made when I was 11 that I still use and have access to. Currently my apple ID is connected to this secondary email of mine being set as the "primary email". I login with that email everything is fine and it works. My problem is that I now want to use my main email to create a new apple ID but when I go to create it, apple says "Email Error: This email address is not available. Choose a different address." I believe to not have any connection between this email and my apple ID in the settings of my iPhone for there to be a problem with me creating new one with this email.

I hope that this is not too confusing, but it is frustrating and I desperately don't want to have to create a new email just for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Change your Apple Account primary email address - Apple Support

- If you remove an email address from your Apple Account, it can’t be associated with another Apple Account for 30 days for security reasons.

If you can’t change your Apple Account primary email address

- If you try to change your Apple Account to an @icloud.com email address that was created within the last 30 days, you will be asked to try again later.

- If you see a message that the email address you want to use isn’t available or is already in use, check that you or a family member aren’t already using that email address with a different Apple Account. If a family member is using that email address, remove it from their account, then try to use it.

“Can I use the primary email address for my deleted Apple Account to create a new Apple Account or with another existing Apple Account?

No, once your Apple Account is deleted, you can’t use the email address that you used with it to create a new Apple Account for as long as Apple retains the one-way hash of the email address. For third-party (non-Apple) domain accounts, the one-way hash is deleted after six years. For other accounts, this is retained according to Apple's retention policy, which is reviewed regularly. In addition, you can’t use that email address with another existing Apple Account except as a rescue email. Also, if your primary Apple Account email address is with a Custom Email Domain, it can never be reused to create an Apple Account after your Apple Account is deleted, even if the domain ownership changes.”

It likely would have been easier to either add an alias, and to change the email address associated with the current Apple Account, and that would preserve purchases and subscriptions as well. This also avoids all the effort involved with changing all associated devices over to the new Apple Account.

As for this case, you will want to contact Apple Support, and see if they can resolve this.
