My AirPods 4 keep glitching and cutting out on my iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Hi,

Anyone experiencing their AirPods 4th Generation or generally their AirPods, audio is glitching and breaking up? I am using my IPhone 17 Pro Max when this happened to me.

I was playing my game for a good 15 minutes when the audio started to break. I tried reconnecting it by put it off and on my ears and it's back to normal.

Another is when I was playing music, I believe it's a good 20 mins of playing music when I can hear the bass audio started to crack. Again, I just reconnected my AirPods by putting them off and on my ears.

I did not have this problem when I was using my IPhone 16 Pro max before.

Hi, I'm having exactly the same problem. My previous iPhone 16 Pro Max worked perfectly with the AirPods 4. On the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the AirPods 4's sound starts to distort in games, and there's a grinding noise. The problem goes away temporarily if I put the earbuds back in the case and take them out again. I suspect it might be related to iOS 26.
