Its is very difficult to move icons after they are put into wiggle mode. This seems like a serious problem.

My tip when moving to another screen: when they wiggle, use right thumb to move the icon a smidge, then use left thumb to move the home screens behind it until you get to the required screen.
Press and hold the icon until it slightly enlarges, then you should be able to easily move and rearrange your Home Screen layout.

If I may respond as I am having the same issue after a forced IOS26 install (cameras replaced on iPhone 16 pro). Previously it was super easy to edit Home Screen and move to folders/manually sort.
Now it seems ‘dull’ to respond to finger pressure for want of a better word to describe the response, and drag and drop is all but impossible to achieve.
any ideas?
Thanks Brian … have tried selecting all the ways you can (manual hold and drag, and ‘edit home screen’ until it wiggles. Terrifyingly the icon vanishes then returns to the original space when pressing done. I’m quite familiar with this process so I will follow up with Apple when I am next in the city.
I haven’t noticed any difference in iOS 26 than previous iOS versions. What specifically is the difficulty you are experiencing versus how it was prior to iOS 26?
