The iPhone 6 has reached the end-of-life support for Software Updates to the latest iOS operating system, depriving you of new features created many years ago.

Many modern apps are not compatible, limiting the usability of your device.

You are invited to visit an Apple retail store to discuss your iPhone upgrade options.

Since your iPhone is too old for a trade-in, the only option is to recycle it for free. ♻️

Good luck! 👋🏼😉

The answer to how is that you can't.

The iPhone 6 is not compatible with iOS 13 or higher. It has only 1 GB of RAM, and all iPhones that can run anything higher than iOS 12 have at least twice as much. (Only one of the iPhones that can run the current version of iOS has as little as 3 GB of RAM.)

The iPhone 6 also lacks the Neural Engine found in every iPhone that can run iiOS 16 or higher.

iOS 13 came out in September 2019 – six years ago – so it really shouldn't come as a surprise that there are no new updates for the iPhone 6. If you want to run current versions of iOS, it is past time to replace that old iPhone.
