Tahoe 26 Screensaver issue - multiple monitors

Regardless of which screensaver I select, it only shows on one monitor; the other monitor shows some 'default' screensaver that I'm unable to change.

How can I fix this so my selected screensaver shows on both monitors?

There is no bug here.

Here is how you choose different screensavers for different displays:

1) Open System Settings->Wallpaper on display 1

2) Click Screen Saver...

3) Choose "Custom" and select the desired one, for example:

4) NOW COMES THE CRUCIAL PART...

DRAG the System Settings window to Display 2, and repeat the process above, choosing whatever you like.

Thank you for this answer; it is very much appreciated.

But my message to Apple is this: without question, this is the least intuitive way to design this functionality - especially given the method used to change the wallpaper...

For the wallpaper, I have a dropdown that lets me easily select the monitor I want to change, then choose my new wallpaper. For the screen saver, I have to click the screen saver button, which opens a window that provides no guidance on how to make that change for each monitor.

Do I select which monitor I want to change before I click screen saver? No. Do I have some option to select which monitor AFTER I click the screen saver button? No.

Oh wait, I have to actually drag the settings window to the monitor I want to change, then click the screen saver button, then select the screen saver, then repeat for any additional monitors?

I'm sorry, but that's not how I would expect the screen saver to work, given the steps for changing the wallpaper, and I don't think any reasonable person would expect the two to work differently.

Still not resolved. Booted in safe mode, re-installed OS, no change.

Apple support determined it's a design issue that they'll likely need to address in a subsequent update. They suggested I provide feedback describing the issue, which I did some time ago at someone's suggestion in this thread. Suggest others provide the sam feedback so this gets appropriate attention.

In either case, you are changing what is shown on each display, so why would you make the steps necessary for each change so different?

First, note that Apple is not here, it's just users such as yourself.

If you want Apple to hear you, use the feedback page: https://www.apple.com/feedback

I agree that the way wallpapers and screensavers are selected is inconsistent, but neither you nor I can do anything about it.

In any case, you don't need to click on Screen Saver every time, just click once, select what you want, then (without leaving the Screen Saver window) move to the other, and select.

It might be better to have a popup like we do for wallpaper, but only Apple can make it happen.

Personally, I never use screen savers, and do not often change the wallpaper, as it is hardly ever in view, anyway.

I just offered what I had discovered. I don't even know if the way screen savers are selected is documented anywhere.
