The Deleted App Result Comes Up On Spotlight Search

I uninstalled an app. Bartender 5.

Then installed Bartender 6.

But I can still see Bartender 5 on Spotlight search.

How can I remove It there?

Email the guys at https://www.macbartender.com/Bartender6/support/. They probably have a answer to your problem.

If they do have a solution could you share here once you get the problem fixed.

This is about the only way I know of doing it at present.

On a Mac:

  1. Empty the Trash Folder: Make sure the app has been fully deleted from your Trash folder by right-clicking and selecting "Empty Trash" to permanently remove it from the system, according to this Apple Support Community thread.
    • Reset the Spotlight index:Open System Settings > Siri & Spotlight.
    • Scroll to the bottom and click the Search Privacy... button.
    • Drag and drop an entire drive (like your Startup Disk) into the sheet to add it to the privacy exclusion list.
    • Wait a few minutes, then remove that drive from the list. This action will force Spotlight to re-index your Mac, which should remove outdated search results.
  1. Restart your Mac: After resetting the index, restarting your Mac can help ensure the new index is fully functional.
