Unable to Toggle "Allow Apps to Request to Track" in Privacy Settings
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with the Tracking feature in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. The option to Allow Apps to Request to Track is greyed out and I cannot toggle it on.
I’ve already tried several methods, including:
- Signing in and out of my Apple ID.
- Deleting VPN profiles and resetting all settings.
- Signing out of my phone, powering it off and on again.
- Updating to the latest iOS version.
The closest I got to fixing it was when I signed in and out of my Apple ID. The toggle briefly appeared for about 20 seconds, but then it turned grey again and became unchangeable.
I also contacted Apple Support and spent a long time troubleshooting, but unfortunately the issue still remains. I read online that location could affect this setting, so I’ll note that I’m located in Ontario, Canada.
Please see the attached screenshot of what I see in my Tracking settings. Has anyone experienced this before or found a reliable fix? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
