Force Quit Shortcut Not Working

Hi,

This was the issue. I took it to the Genius Bar and they ran a full keyboard diagnostic and the option key was not working, so they have ordered a new keyboard.

I think what threw me off is that this happened right after the new MacOS update. A possible factor is that they changed my screen right before (my nano texture screen kept getting marked by the keyboard).

Safe Mode did not work. When I tried it in safe mode, I got the error sound (does not happen in normal mode).

I also just discovered that "Past and Match Style": Option-Command-Shift-V does not work either. It pastes text with the original formatting. When I paste using the menu bar (Edit), it works and just pastes the text.

Is it possible that the Command and/or Option keys are not working?

Update: both commands work using a 3rd-Party keyboard, but when I either try to paste of force quit on the MBP, the problems remain.

I looked in system settings and the modifier keys are correct for both the internal and external keyboards.
