Annoying Outlook email screen layout- help?

I just updated to the lates ios version on my ipad. I use Outlook( hotmail.com) as my email app. Since I installed the new ios, I get this annoying split-screen layout, with the selected email on right, and all my mailboxes listed in the left panel ( see screen shot) Previously, when I clicked on an email, it would fill the whole screen, without that left side panel. I’ve googled how to remove or disable the left panel, but nothing works. Is there a way to remove it, when viewing an email? Thanks

More than likely the app developer will need to fix this… contract them.

OK, just to clarify. Are you using the Apple Mail app to access a Microsoft mail service? That is what your screen seems to indicate.

If so, no, you cannot make the left list panel go away. If you double tap on a message in it it will open a full view of the message. You can also turn the iPad to landscape orientation.

Sorry to disagree, but find it to be a substantial improvement to the previous version, particularly when combined with the Windowed app setting (Multitasking and gestures).

Of course you can always find a third party mail app, such as the Outlook app, that you prefer.

OK! The double-tap works! Bit of a pain, but i guess i’ll have yo get used to it🤦‍♂️
