Display Issue with Menu Bar in Games After macOS Tahoe 26 Update

Dear Apple Support Team,

After updating my Mac to macOS Tahoe 26, I have encountered a display issue affecting games. Since the Menu Bar was made transparent, the upper part of the screen becomes unresponsive when playing in certain modes.

For example, in Dota 2, when using the “Borderless Window” display mode, I am unable to move the in-game camera because the cursor appears to be blocked by the Menu Bar area. This has a significant negative impact on the gaming experience.

As a temporary workaround, I can switch to “Exclusive Fullscreen” mode, but this changes my native display resolution. As a result, the cursor speed is affected and movement feels slower, which makes gameplay uncomfortable.

This issue was not present in the previous macOS version, when the Menu Bar was visually separated from the desktop.

I have attached a video demonstrating how this problem occurs after the update.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QrRukt7dRe4

I would greatly appreciate it if your team could investigate and address this problem in a future update.

Thank you for your attention.

Have you tried the automatically hide/show menu bar option? Have you tried making the menu bar not transparent? Both of those options are in system settings > menu bar.

It never occurred to me, I’ll try your advice. This is the first time I’m submitting a complaint, so I wasn’t entirely sure where to reach out. On the official website, I’m either redirected to live chat or offered to read articles.

It’s frustrating that after the update I have to change the settings, when everything worked fine before.

I’ve already contacted support.

Thanks again!❤️
