Night mode portraits missing on iPhone 17 Pro

It appears the iPhone 17 Pro no longer supports night mode portraits like its predecessors did. The option is present on my iPhone 12 Pro when in 1x, but it’s completely missing on the 17 Pro in the same scenario. Night mode appears to only work in regular photo mode.

Night Mode not working in Portrait photos on iPhone 17 Pro Max Hi, I have a strange problem and dilemma with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. I’ve had it for about two weeks, and so far the Night Mode has never activated in Portrait photos — it’s as if it doesn’t exist at all. Even when I cover the lens with my hand, it still doesn’t appear — the only thing that turns on is the flash, which I don’t want and have disabled. Under the exact same lighting conditions in the regular photo mode, Night Mode turns on immediately and works perfectly fine. All these modes also work normally on the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro Max. The issue occurs only on the 17 Pro Max. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
