Sorting Photos Library on Mac

The new MacOS version seems to be sorting my Photos Library by "Recently Added" where before it sorted by "Date Captured". How do I change it back to "Date Captured"?

I see this option on iOS but not on the Mac, unless I'm just missing it?

Mac mini, macOS 26.0

Sort Photos by Capture Date (NOT File Creation Date) Is it possible to sort Photos Library by the Capture Date (to Apple, via Preview/Tools/Inspector, aka Date Time Original or Date Time Digitized) vs the File Date? If not who do I contact to make that request? (Ditto for location info). The only practical way to use Lightroom's RAW capabilities alongside iCloud Photos is to export an edited RAW file from Lightroom and then import that file into Photos. However, while the exported file retains the EXIF capture date (and location info), Photos uses the file date for its library sorting (and ignores the location data), which results in a terrible UX. The effect is particularly bad if the shooter is re-processing an older shot or catching up on processing, so that events are displayed in complete disarray (i.e. sorted by processing date).

Changing Sort Order in Apple Photos Library...Mac iPhone iPad Why are photos in the library sorted oldest to newest? Why would I want to scroll through 18,000 photos to see the latest ones? There must be some way to do this!!! It's absurd.

Sorting photos I have Ventura 13.2 on my Mac Mini. There are still quite a few apps that don't seem quite right; but, the one that I'm asking about right now is Photos. In previous versions of the Macintosh operating systems that I have used I could sort photos by date from oldest to newest or newest to oldest. At present, the photos seem to be listed from oldest to newest. I would like to change it so that the newest photos are first with the oldest photos at the bottom. Is there a way to sort by date from newest to oldest? If there is, I am not finding it.

LOL Nevermind. Just found it.

Click on Library.

Then go to menu item View, scroll down to Sort, then choose "Keep sorted by Oldest Capture Date"

I was trying to use the filter option (like on iOS) or right clicking Library (like for albums). Didn't think to look at the View menu until after I posted.
