OneDrive photo sync to incorrect folder location on iPhone

One Drive organises photos in monthly folders correctly but syncs to an odd location (eg Photos\2016\2025\10). Is there any way of changing the folder?

Where do photos that are downloaded from onedrive (ipad pro, latest os) go? Forgive me, however I am totally new to Apple products and iOS. When I open my OneDrive app, I can see and navigate the current content. As a photographer, I wanted download the photo to the iPad pro. I am given the option to download which the file does. How do I find these downloaded files. Other help questions went how to go to the "blue folder app" and there it should be. It's not. Not on my iCloud drive (don't want that) and not in "On My iPad". That folder only shows "Chrome" --nothing there and "Move to iOS" in which a grey folder advises me "Folder is empty". I did a search for "downloads" which returned nothing. I held my tap longer and that gave me the option to download to "Pictures". I found "Pictures" and there is the file replicated 4 additional times. I can't even find a way to navigate the file system like in the finder or in "My PC, drive x, users, me. I am at a total loss here. This is the only Apple product I own. I don't want it syncing to iCloud because there is no need, with just one Apple product.

Can't "Unsync" photos from my iPhone - specifically the "Places" album Hi community, My goal: Remove all the locally stored photos from my iPhone that were previously synced from my iMac. Why? I don't want them on there taking up space before I enable iCloud photos on the phone so i can see my photos that way instead. The Problem: On my iPhone, I've managed to get rid of the photo albums that were previously synced from my iMac (around 25,000 photos), but the iPhone is still showing that it has photos on it despite me having Unchecked "Sync photos to your device" in the iMac Finder iPhone Sync interface (see image below) and attempting to complete a Sync (which is an extremely temperamental process) On my phone: Settings > About > Photos says 5,532 photos. Settings > About > Photos says 17GB of photo storage. Photos app > "People and Places" section shows 8,228 photos against Places. I have 485 photos in Recents which is all that I would expect to be stored locally on the phone + maybe a few hundred in some Shared albums (assuming they even store locally) This doesn't really make any sense. For one thing there's misalignment between the count in the Settings app vs the Photos app Places album so that's weird. But generally It's like the phone is hanging onto a subsection of the old photos that were on the device previously but giving me no way to remove them. I feel like the problem might be related to the syncing between iMac and iPhone via Finder which is always so hard to achieve smoothly. Every time I try to sync it gets stuck at Step 2 Preparing To Sync until I force quite the MDCrashReportTool in Activity Monitor as described here https://macreports.com/how-to-fix-finder-stuck-in-preparing-to-sync/ but then after than it will very often just go on to hang forever on Step 4 Waiting for changes to be applied Devices: iMac 2023 M3 chip, Sonoma 14.2.1 iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 17.2.1 I did very recently upgrade from an older iMac and an older iPhone but don't think that should be related Many thanks for any help!

How do I delete photos that are not in albums without trash icon on 4th gen iPad Air running iOS 17.7.1? 4th gen iPad Air, 17.7.1 iOS. I deleted all photos not included in albums on my iPad , then I sync’d to my MacBook with selections to sync selected photo albums but I did not select any albums to sync. Goal is to remove all photos from my iPad. I have a couple thousand photos remaining on my iPad. There is no delete icon for any of them and there are zero albums on my iPad. These photos are in albums on my MacBook and these albums were previously sync’d to my iPad. The sync removed thousands of other photos and all the albums but not these photos. There are still photos, live Photos and videos remaining. Have tried sync multiple times to remove them but no luck. How do I remove these photos without doing a hard reset? Have you talked to One Drive support? One drive is not an Apple product or service.

Did you actually talk to One Drive support or is this it a response from AI such as ChatGPT, Perplxity etc?
