iPad trade in gone missing what to do next

Hi I traded in my old ipad with apple online against a new one. I received the new one and the trade in kit, I sent back the old one in the trading kit provided on the 26/09/2025. Since the 28/09/2025 it has been in The national parcel hub. I’ve contracted apple numerous times and each time I get told to wait 24/48 hours whilst they investigate further. I have not heard back off them once and I am always the one chasing them up for updates which I never get. In context my daughters also went missing on the same dates and hers got refunded within hours. Has this happened to anyone else and how did it get resolved as I don’t think this is good enough.

You are already following the appropriate escalation steps. Hopefully you will have obtained a tracking receipt when you despatched your trade-in with the Carrier.


Whilst hopefully a rare occurrence, parcels do go astray during shipping - this includes both new devices shipping to a customer and devices returned for trade-in or repair. Packages going missing is an unfortunate reality of modern life, but this knowledge does nothing to lessen its impact when it happens to you.


As is, your only hope of resolving shipping issues is to work with the Carrier - and Apple Support.
