iPhone shows 100% after a restart despite a 90–95% charge

Can someone in apples iOS software engineering and developer department please explain why when charging an iPhone no matter to what percentage it’s at say an example such as to 90% and 95% then powering off/on either immediately afterwards or shortly thereafter say to between 30 second to 1 minute and powering back on the battery status icon will be at 100% or 99% despite charging to only 90% and 95% and then going to the setting battery setting afterwards and the battery will say last charged to 90% or 95% but the battery status icon on the upper right is again at 100% or 99%. Can someone please in the software engineer or developer department please explain why? This is again on all devices apple iPhone, watch, or tablet.

physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

Have you noticed? Do you know and understand where I am coming from? I am an IT TECHNICIAN and so I know that Lithium Ion batteries as evolved as progressed as they are batteries still overheat and overwork when you leave it on the charger past its time when fully charged and although it doesn’t get hot to the point and it smokes or catches fire it’s still rough on its life in total also from experience each and every time the battery goes from 0-100 and vise-versa 100-0 that is a cycle. The point I am asking Apple why and to research and possible fix through an iOS update. You can’t fix what you don’t recognize. So that’s why I am speaking here so others who have seen but not said anything can acknowledge and apple can address and fix.
