Email subject "You requested your purchase details

I've been getting an email every day for the past couple weeks with the subject line "You requested your purchase details". The from address is no_reply@email.apple.com.

The body is:

"Hello,

Thank you for viewing

purchase details associated with the Apple Account [my email address] through American Express in

the last 24 hours. If this was you or someone authorized to view your

American Express purchases, there is nothing more to do. Keep in mind that if

you are part of Family Sharing for Apple, your family organizer may have viewed

your purchases.

If you or someone

authorized did not view your purchase details, please contact American Express.

Regards,

Apple Support"

Amex says they see no activity and only me and my wife have access to the account. I've seen no suspicious charges. It is annoying, but I'd rather fix the underlying issue rather than set up a rule to spam or delete the incoming email.

I found this on apple's website which makes me believe this is related to Quicken downloads. I started receiving the emails after I added Amex card to quicken. I contacted Amex and they said account secure and to contact Apple. So, not sure what the solution here is but I'm reasonably comfortable that quicke3n is the culprit.

View your App Store and iTunes Store purchases directly from your financial institution

You may be able to see more details about your recent purchases when you view your transactions on your financial institution's website or mobile app.

When you sign in to your financial institution website or mobile app and view your recent purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, Apple Books, or for Apple Music or iCloud services, you may see an option—such as View Receipt—that allows you to view more details about your transaction.

If you select this option, Apple displays details of items purchased. Apple also notifies you via email that the information was displayed through your financial institution's website or mobile app.

This service is designed to allow you to see more detailed information about your purchases than you might normally see on your statement. This feature is not available for all financial institutions.

Who can see details about your purchases?

If you're the payment account owner, your detailed purchase information is displayed by Apple, only to you, only when you're signed in to your payment account. Your financial institution doesn't have access to your Apple ID or detailed purchase information with this service.

If you use someone else's payment method or credit card to make purchases, the owner of that payment account can see your purchases. For example, if you're a member of Family Sharing and your purchases are billed to the family organizer's payment account, then the family organizer may have viewed your purchase details.

Purchase details may take time to appear after a transaction is posted on your statement. You can see your purchase history in the App Store or iTunes Store at any time.

It's a scam. Someone is trying to get you to log into a fake site and enter login credentials, either for Apple or Amex or both. Delete the email and move on.

In the last two weeks, I've gotten about twenty texts asking me if I want help taking advantage of some tax deferrment program that ends 10/15. Sadly, since it's almost free to send this stuff, it only takes a very few people falling for it for it to make money.

I've been getting these notices as well recently. I've had my Amex account it Quicken for several years but recently lost my card and had to get a new card to replace it. They changed the card number so that caused me to close the first account and add the new account. It appears that whenever the Apple charge comes into Quicken, I get the email on my gmail account. I called Amex support and they told me to call Apple. I doubt that would do any good but may try that route. I checked my Quicken connection settings for the Amex account but could not find anything related to getting further details on Apple charges. I thought I may be able to turn that off. I get these notices about once a month so it seems to be related to Quicken pulling in that monthly recurring Apple charge.
