iMessage Not Working on New Mac Mini When Messaging Android

iMessage has always works and still works today on my Macbook Pro. However, only since updating my Mac Mini last week, my Mac Mini will not send or receive messages from Android phones. It's infuriating and makes my Mac Mini feel like a lesser product.

Do not try and convince me this is an "Apple only supports iMessage with other Apple products" issue, because I can send those messages through my MacBook Pro right now.

Is there a work-around? This is getting infuriating.

Try these steps:

• Open the Messages app on your Mac Mini.

• Ensure you’re signed in to your Apple ID (the same one on your iPhone).

• On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding and verify your Mac Mini is enabled.

• Sometimes, the update can untick the option to send from your phone number, so check under Send & Receive and confirm your phone number is checked (not just your email).

• Try toggling Text Message Forwarding off and on for the Mac Mini from your iPhone’s Settings.

• Restart both your iPhone and Mac Mini after making changes.

Yes, that is correct. Only when I try to message an Android, and only on the Mac Mini. My MacBook Pro receives and is able to send messages from/to Androids without issue.
