Incomplete QR code on MacBook Air for DigiD login

On our MacBook Air we tried to log in on a site vis DigiD. In that proces a Qr code appears normally on the screen, which can be read with a qrcode-app on our smartphone. Alas on the screen of our MacBook Air only half of the Qr code appears and so cannot be recognized by the reader on our phone. Following the same procedure on our Apple i-pad The Qr code is complete and readable. What is wrong with our MacBook Air instellingen?

Contact whoever created that hilarity of a login sequence, and report the issue.

If the Mac itself is semi-recent, it too can scan QR codes via Photos app.

Here is Safari on macOS 13 with an alternate-click on a Wikipedia QR code SVG image:

No screenshots, no added apps, nothing other than macOS and Safari and an alternate click on the image with the QR.
