How can I stop my iPhone battery from draining rapidly?

Hi, who knows why I'm loosing 10% or more over night on ios26? I turned off everything I could yet only if i turn off wifi bluetooth and turn on airplane mode only than I loose only 2% over night as normally. its not OK. I’ve never had this problem on any other iOS before. My 13mini could last 2-3 days on previous iOS now it lasts only 1,5-2 days because of this strange battery loss. Does anyone have the same problem?

Troubleshooting iPhone Battery Draining After an Update:

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Links for tips on troubleshooting this...

I. Try what is on this Link: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't Turn on or is Frozen - Apple Support

II. View the Battery Health:

Apple recommends you get a new battery, once the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: [the percentage]
  5. Is it 80% or less?  If so, it is time for a new battery.

III. Perform a Restart:

Try Force Restarting your iPhone. Save any information that need be. Then perform the restart.

Actually, at least in Australia, we are being told by fire authorities NOT to charge lithium batteries while we are asleep due to the huge number of battery fires recently. I know Apple batteries are high quality and have overheating protections, but they can become accidentally damaged or faulty and it is quite reasonable for someone not to want to charge them overnight.

Most fires are caused by eBikes and scooters. There are very few reports of iPhones causing a fire while charging. Most of the incidents have been caused by faulty third-party cables and adapters.

While nothing in this world is 100% safe, charging your iPhone, if you do it properly is very safe.

  • Only use Made For iPhone-certified cables and adapters. In addition to Apple-branded equipment, products from reputable manufacturers like Belkin or Anker are safe.
  • Put the phone on a hard surface while it's charging so that air can circulate around it. Don't, for example, charge it under your pillow.
  • And obviously, if you notice any signs of damage, don't charge it at all.

And don't charge your eBike or scooter inside the house.

Hi Kurosis12,

They are mostly cheap e-bike batteries and e-scooters, 2 years ago it was cheap hover boards.

I have charged my phones all night since they were invented.

If you are worried, find a metal ammo box with a lid to charge it in, I would rather that than letting it run down over night or turning it off every night, both of which cause stress.
