No one can access the data on your phone unless they know the passcode for your iPhone. Here, I am assuming that you had a passcode on your phone......correct?

There is no way that anyone could ever guess your passcode in less than 10 tries before the phone locks out and won't even allow any more passcode attempts.

When you say that the phone is "hidden" from you.......does this mean that you are seeing an "Offline" message when you try to locate the phone using Find My?

"Offline" will appear if the phone does not have an Internet connection where it is currently located. This would occur if the battery has run down, the phone does not have a cellular connection or a Wi-Fi connection. In addition, iPhone thieves often wrap a phone in aluminum foil or place it in a Faraday bag so the phone cannot send or receive a signal.

Be very careful if you see a message that your phone has been found and you just need to provide a bit more information. Apple does not get involved with lost or stolen phones, so any message about your phone will be from scammers who are trying to trick you into providing information so they can get into your phone.
