Severe bug in iOS 18.7.1: Editing Control Center causes UI glitches and system freeze on iPhone XR
Hi everyone,
I’ve encountered a serious issue on my iPhone XR running iOS 18.7.1 (22H31) that appears every time I try to edit the Control Center.
Here’s what happens:
- When I open Control Center customization and try to add, remove, or rearrange controls, the interface starts to behave abnormally.
- Some icons disappear, buttons move out of the grid, and the UI becomes unresponsive.
- After a short time, the entire system freezes and my iPhone restarts automatically.
This makes it literally impossible to properly customize the Control Center, since the device crashes before any changes can be completed.
The issue occurs consistently after a few minutes of editing, regardless of what controls I modify.
I’ve already tried:
- Force restarting the device
- Resetting settings
- Checking for software updates
None of these fixed the problem. Everything else on the device works normally — the bug seems to be strictly tied to Control Center editing.
It would be great if Apple could look into this issue and include a fix in an upcoming iOS update (possibly iOS 18.7.2).
Thanks in advance!
