Recently I purchase a iPad (A16) WI-FI only. When I trying to update ios 26 ,it show unable to download.
Even my iPad is always connect with Wi-Fi network. Again and again is shows “ This update requires a WI-FI network connection to download.”
why this error is appears..

You're connected to a Personal Hotspot, which you can't update off of. Switch to a Wi-Fi network and try again.

iPadOS updates require that your iPad is connected to the internet via a standard WiFi connection - or, if using a computer to perform the update, the computer itself requires a direct internet connection.
However, if you have no alternative to using a Cellular connection, you can use a Cellular Broadband Router - often known as MiFi. The MiFi router presents a WiFi connection to the iPad, which "persuades" the iPad that it has the required conenction.
