Is there any way to bypass Apple Watch ECG automatically restarting

I have an old apple watch that keeps restarting the ECG timer during a recording, possibly due to hardware noise. However, I only use it to send recordings to doctors, and don't need the AFib analysis feature. Is there any way to bypass this auto-restart feature?

I have experience with coding (but not Swift specifically), so I'm also not opposed to developing something myself if this can be bypassed there.
