Accidently removed the Ceramic Shield glass from iphone 14 plus

I messed up applying a privacy screen filter on it last night, and when I tried to remove it, both the privacy filter and Ceramic Shield came off. I've tried reattaching it, but there was stuff underneath it, so it wouldn't stick nor look good either. Is there an aftermarket Ceramic Shield I can buy, or is there another solution that isn't paying apple $600 for a screen protector replacement?

Yes, you are confused. Ceramic Shield is NOT a separate piece of glass on the phone. Ceramic Shield IS the screen on the phone. You have removed the screen protector. You have NOT removed anything of consequence on the phone itself. If you want another screen protector, you can buy one and install it.

It doesn't cost $600 for a new authentic Apple Screen from Apple. It costs $329.

As Jeff suggests, you can certainly get the screen replaced elsewhere, but I WOULD'NT do that. You'd make your phone ineligible for any support from Apple going forward and it will have $0 Trade Value if you want to trade it for a new phone.

There are do it yourself repairs available but they’re almost as expensive as having Apple do it. Third party repair services are cheaper than Apple and generally use non Apple parts. This results in things like no True Tone, Nightshift and auto brightness may not function properly. Not to mention colors are usually off.

You’ve got to look at your budget and figure out what you can afford.
