I am buying an iPhone from India and planning to use it in Italy, specifically iPhone 17 (base model). Will I get warranty coverage and servicing in Italy without encountering any problems?

There could be LOT'S of issues. Do you live in Italy? If you do, buy your phone in the country you live and will use it. Apple iPhone Warranty may be limited to the country of purchase. If by chance you are seeing a savings by purchasing an iPhone in a different country, the savings will evaporate and then some if you have to return to the country of purchase for warranty purposes.
