New iPhone 17 Pro email problem

We just upgraded from 14 Pro Max to 17 Pro phones. Derrell’s “All Mail” suddenly has over 14,000 emails in his “All Mail” account. They are unread items he thought were deleted. Is there a way to quickly delete these emails?
