I got a managed Wi-Fi AT&T pass point on my phone that does not belong and I cannot get off

So my provider is cricket wireless I have called them about the situation and they said they only do data and cellular service. They do not do Wi-Fi or provide that through cricket even though cricket does run on AT&T towers still yet again AT&T Wi-Fi pass point is on my phone. I do not know how it got on there. It says it’s a manage network. Someone has created a profile on me from my understandings. I’ve read up on a lot. It says something about going through Boingo wireless which is around the same type, it is a Wi-Fi pass point which honestly I don’t even know what it means but so out of curiosity, I made a profile through them and it actually went under my Wi-Fi showed up as boy go wireless pass point and it showed up as a manage network and it would not let me hit. Forget Wi-Fi as the Wi-Fi pass point from AT&T will not let me do either. It created a profile on me so I deleted the account once I deleted the account they told me how to get in the settings and deleted so someone has evidently got this account made under my phone number because when I delete my eSIM, it will go away when my eSIM gets put back on the phone, the Wi-Fi pass point will get back on the phone, so does anyone have any kind of suggestion suggestions that would help it would be great thank you very much.

Managed networks are provided by the cellular provider whether you are using a MVNO or not. The MVNO just means they lease the network access from a major carrier. I honestly don't know of any major carrier that does not include at least 1 managed network with their service. Removing the SIM eliminates the managed network because it is no longer linked to the cellular provider.

That does not mean your phone is being managed or they have access to your data. Yes, if you are using an AT&T service, whether that is though cricket or not, you are going to have the AT&T managed wifi network.
