Trouble opening pdf files in iPad Pro 11in iPadOS 26.0.1 in files and preview that will open on my iPhone 16 which also has recent update. I just began to notice this since the update. I have no previous trouble like this before.

Use Files to find the document. Long press on the document icon, and choose “Get Info”. Does that offer a clue?
Does the full file name end with “.pdf”?

..opens some, not others while iPhone opens all from files & preview.
