Wallpaper animation in Tahoe stopped after Mac restart

When I first loaded Mac os Tahoe on my iMac, the Tahoe Day Wallpaper would show the water as shimmering. I recently took a screen shot (not related to the wallpaper) and my computer froze completely, forcing me to hold the power button to shut it off. Upon restarting, my shimmering effect on my Tahoe Day Wallpaper has stopped the animation. I've set different wallpaper, and then back to Tahoe Day however the animation effect has stopped. Any thoughts on why and the solution would be greatly appreciated.
