You can use Airdrop from the iPhone to the Mac.

Just select the Photos, tap on share, and then on Airdrop, then select the Mac from the list of devices.

You can't, at least not over bluetooth. There is no support for direct bluetooth pairing between Macs and iPhones never has been.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

For Personal Hotspot for instance, you can turn it on on the iPhone and the iPhone will appear as a Wi-Fi network on the Mac it can connect to.

Explain what your end goal is here and someone may be able to offer a solution.

Then tell the owner of the Mac to change their airdrop settings.

Settings>General>Airdrop & Handoff.

As KiltedTim suggests, you can AirDrop them. You can email them. You can text them.

Pair to do what exactly? You can't pair an iPhone to a Mac in the traditional sense of Bluetooth Pairing. What are you trying to do?
