Option to disable or reduce the Tahoe 26 exaggeratedly rounded corners

Hi all,

After a quick search there is no OOTB to disable the exaggerated rounded corners from Tahoe. It is distracting and strange to have corners so rounded that I can see my "Wallpaper".

Is there any way to disable or reduce this Rounded Corners? Where is the best place to vote for options?

Thanks,

AA

I agree that the rounded corners in Tahoe are exaggerated, and I would also prefer them to be less distracting.

As far as I know, there is no option to change that.

Setting the screen to a higher resolution does make them smaller, but then it makes everything smaller.

While I don't know an OOTB solution either, I would like to share my current workaround: using the App "TopNotch" allows to change corner rounding of the (apparent) screen. Activating TopNotch and setting corner rounding "medium" for top and bottom corners makes a better (apparent) fit, not perfect but much better than by default. TopNotch comes with the additional benefit of setting the background color of the menu bar to black, independent of the wallpaper, making the top notch (apparently) disappear as well, a lovely feature that perhaps Apple will build into MacOS someday as well. Overall, this feels now much more natural. I would still prefer a smaller corner radius that matches the hardware corner radius, so I submitted an Apple Feedback under the link that you provided, thank you very much for the suggestion!

I cannot believe it took Apple less than 20 minutes to remove my post here. All I had said was that window corners in Tahoe are too rounded and that too much real estate gets lost especially in the 1080 resolution.
Why was that marked as non constructive and was censored, I do not know.

You will find that this is not a Social Media site, and is instead a Support Site for other users to offer assistance when they are able to. It makes no difference what my opinion is on an Apple design choice or even yours as the correct action to take is the same, and that is to send Feedback to Apple.

The original question is a legitimate one and that was if you could disable the rounded corners and the answer is NO, and to let Apple know how you feel about the rounded corners, the feedback link has been provided. Anything else is non-contructinve.

I also found this fix which works ok. https://medium.com/@makalin/reclaiming-the-screen-a-developers-fix-for-macos-26-s-corners-a28844a0974d

You can find the source code for CornerFix on GitHub. Try it, tweak it, and

share it. After all, sometimes the smallest fixes make the biggest

difference in how we experience our machines. Here is the link: https://github.com/makalin/CornerFix

Rounded corners Look old school. Waste space and should only be a disablable option.
Very disappointed in Tahoe look and speed.

And.....did you submit the feedback to Apple to let them know how you feel? That would be the way to have your vote counted. Other than that it is simply an opinion where some can say the like it and others that don't, which is just a topic for a Social Media site, and there are many to choose from. As for my opinion, I have Tahoe on both an Intel Mac and Silicon Mac and the performance has been great and actually surprised to find that the rounded corners were an issue for some, but then again as stated my opinion is meaningless on a Support Site. A Support Site such as this can only give you the options and the only one for you is to send the feedback.

So if there is no way to change these rounded edges as you mention from other replies then you being from Apple, why dont you talk to the dev team so they can make these provisions available with the next iteration of 26.4.1

Nobody posting here is from Apple. This is a Community Support forum for other Apple users like you to offer assistance when possible. I think you may have misread the post you were referring to. If you would like to send Feedback to Apple, you can do that here.

What the user ( you ) seems to be missing

The Rounded Corners in macOS 26 Tahoe also appears across into iOS 26

To achieve what you are asking from would require re-writing both macOS 26 for computer and iOS 26 for iDevices

Based upon the past history of Apple, that is not going to happen

iOS 26 introduces concentric cornersas a core design principle, ensuring nested UI elements have rounded corners that perfectly align with their parent container and the device hardware. Using the new ConcentricRectangle shape and containerShapemodifier in SwiftUI, inner radii are automatically calculated to match the outer shape, enhancing the "liquid glass" design language

I tried to submit feedback, but there is no option for feedback about macOS, only macOS Apps (like Photos, etc..) How can I submit feedback for this?

You choose your device, then on that page you select the Mac OS version you are using along with the Feedback type, whether you want a Feature Request to turn off certain aspects, a Performance issue, or Other to provide detailed Comments on your experience.

At this particular moment there is only one single feasible solution to get rid of the rounded corners - downgrade to MacOS 15.7.4 and block Major and minor OS updates via MDM policy and the update nag disappears and you can work happily ever after with MacOS Sequoia.

You can Delay the notification for up to 90 Days provided you enrol the computer in a Mobile Digital Management Service ( MDM for short )

But Stopping the Notification on a Permanent Basis - No

Some methods require MDM or enterprise tools — many home users won’t have that.

The “delay” via configuration profile is time-limited (commonly up to 90 days).

After that period, the option may re-appear. HCS Tech
