Apple Watch not syncing steps and distance despite recalibration attempts

I tried turning both watch and phone off and back on, I have made sure everything is turned on, watch and phone are up to date on software and recalibration with a 20 minute walk also failed.

Original Title: apple watch wont sync steps and distance. I already tried the three ways to get it to work including recalibrating with a 20 minute walk. It just stays at 0.
