Same here on iPhone 11. Everything worked perfectly fine until the update from iOS 18.x to 26. Now I can't even pick up calls because touch isn't working. Strangely, for me it’s only the right side of the screen that doesn’t register touch input.

And what is your Battery Health at Settings > Battery > Battery Health > Maximum Capacity? If it is below 80% it needs to be replaced. Ignoring the Service recommendation you would see in Settings for this may result in the Battery swelling and pushing against the screen affecting touch events.

In any case, Jeff Donald is correct that the resolution is going to come from Apple performing diagnostics on your device. It would be very unusual for an original battery on an iPhone 11 to be operating normally. The replacement should only be done by Apple or Authorized Apple Service Provider. For those that used another third party for battery replacement or purchased a used device where it may have been replaced by a non-genuine battery have experienced problems with their device.

Have you tried a Force Restart?

  • Press and quickly release Volume up
  • Press and quickly release Volume down
  • Press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears. This could take up to 15 seconds before you see the Apple logo and you must ignore anything else on the screen during that time. If you do not see the Apple logo, try again as it may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct.

That would be the first troubleshooting step to try. Beyond that it may be a sign of a failing digitizer that is responsible for touch event and built into the screen. Apple can perform diagnostics to determine if that is the cause.

Please don’t double post. If a forced restart didn’t help You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
