Did you make sure, that the openings of your watch are clean? One of these is also used for the barometer.
Engage the Water Lock, rinse the watch carefully under lightly running, warm, fresh water. Then disable the Water Lock by pressing and holding the Digital Crown, to expel the water and possible debris or lint. Dry the watch, and try again to check the elevation.
