iPhone X not showing updates.

If you have an iPhone X and are currently using it you will be able to use ios 18 as operating system now if you logout of you phone and signin with a new account while formatting your phone the phone is not showing updates to ios 17.

No. iPhone X can run iOS 16.7.12 and no higher. Signing in or out will not make the phone capable of anything higher. The phone is too old and lacks the hardware required to go higher. If you need a new iOS version as I'm sure you do by now, you'll have to retire your outdated phone and buy a new iPhone.

Not sure where you got this information, but in any case.......it is not correct.


iPhones compatible with iOS 17 include the iPhone XS, XR, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and SE (2nd generation or newer). 


Notice that the iPhone X is not included in the list above.
