How do I set up Face ID with glasses on my iPhone 16 Pro Max?

Have you tried doing your primary Face ID with glasses and then doing the second ID without the glasses? That’s what works for me. I hope it does for you too.

Are they sunglasses or darkened where your eyes cannot be seen?

Another option is instead of using the Glasses option on your current Face, add an Alternate Appearance with your glasses on.

"How do I set up Face ID with glasses on my iPhone 16 Pro Max?: so I’ve tried all of the help tools of resetting my Face ID and resetting my phone. I can add a masked Face ID but when I go to put my glasses on for the 'add glasses' portion, it will either say 'no glasses found' or 'doesn’t match the other Face IDs' I wear glasses regularly and now I have to take them off in order to unlock my phone. Help!"

Could try to turn off Attention Aware

Turn Attention Aware features on or off on your iPhone or iPad Pro – Apple Support (UK)

It may then not worry about seeing your eyes

Worth trying.

Some specialized lenses will not allow Face ID to work as they block the frequency of light used by the lidar sensor.
