Unexpected Apple Account charges after cancelling Replit subscription

I subscribed for a free trial on Replit a third part app, which i cancelled before the end of my free trial.

I am surprised I was charged - i have sent an email to Replit and below was their response and apology :

I've checked your account and you currently have no active Replit subscriptions. This means any charges or restrictions you're experiencing are not coming from Replit directly.

Since you mentioned this involves your iCloud account and Apple attempting to debit you, this appears to be an App Store subscription issue. App Store subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple, not Replit, so we cannot remove payment restrictions on Apple's side.

To resolve the iCloud restriction and any unwanted charges, you'll need to contact Apple directly. You can request a refund through Apple using their refund guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/11822

You can also manage your App Store subscriptions by going to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions on your iOS device.
